Report: Google to pay Apple $9 billion to remain default search engine on Safari

If you have installed Safari on your Apple device like iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you can save your favorite articles from the internet for later reading without needing a third-party app like Pocket. On the Safari web browser, you can take advantage of built-in the Reading List feature to store articles and read them when you feel like reading. Let’s see how you can use this feature on your Apple device.

Take advantage of the Reading List in Safari on iPhone and iPad

The Reading List feature allows you to save articles along with syncing them across devices. That means if you keep an article on your Mac computer, you can access it through your iPhone or iPad.

In the Reading List, you can add both articles and links to an article. To begin, launch the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad, and follow the below instructions.

  • Take your iPhone or iPad and open Safari on it.
  • From the interface, you have to locate the Share button from the toolbar.
  • Here, you will get an option called Add to Reading List. You can use this method in an app where Safari is used in-app browser.
  • For easy addition of a web page in the Reading List, you have to press and hold the Bookmarks button and pick the Add to Reading List option from the pop-up window.
  • If you want to add a link, you can add the same by clicking and holding the link and selecting the Add to Reading List option. This allows you to add a link without accessing it first.
  • All your saved articles will appear in a different tab within the Bookmarks section. So you need to click the Bookmarks icon from the toolbar.
  • Go to the Reading List tab. It will look like a Glasses icon. You will find it in the sidebar while using an iPad.
  • Now your saved content appears here. To read or view a page, simply click on it. If you want to adjust font, font size, etc., you can do the same here.
  • If you want to remove a page from the Reading List, you need to swipe left on the title and choose Delete
